- Tackling Climate Change in South Australia
The Sustainability and Climate Change Division, Department of the Premier and Cabinet is primarily responsible for implementing the South Australian Government's commitment to make South Australia the first state in Australia to ensure a legislated requirement to reduce greenhouse gases by 60 per cent by 2050. They are also responsible for developing South Australia's first greenhouse strategy, due for release later in the year. - Energy Division
The Energy Division, within the Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure, provides policy advice on energy issues, and delivers energy programs and regulatory services for the competitive, safe and reliable supply and use of energy, for the benefit of the South Australian community, including an efficient transition towards a sustainable energy future. - The Policy Implementation Division The Policy Implementation Division is the principal source of policy advice to the Premier on priority issues for the Government. It provides the Premier with in depth whole of government policy advice and analysis to advance the social and economic development of South Australia in an environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive manner. It is also responsible for the development and implementation of strategic policy to assist in the achievement of those targets set in South Australia's Strategic Plan for which the department has lead agency responsibilities.
