Stakeholder Consultations
Stakeholder consultation is an important part of the National Emissions Trading Taskforce’s work. Input from stakeholders is a valuable source of information for the Taskforce and greatly assists in the development of the possible design for the National Emissions Trading Scheme.
Stakeholder Consultations - August to December 2006
On the 16th of August 2006 the Taskforce released the Discussion Paper: Possible Design for a National Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme. This sets out a possible design for a national emissions trading scheme and invites comments on all aspects of the design.
Submissions were called for and presentations were made at a numer of briefings and public meetings held during the consultation period.
